When Ted stepped back towards retirement in 2000, the running of the business passed to the next generation, his sons James and Andrew and the grandchildren. Today we farm 3,000 acres, employ over 160 local people and specialise in growing baby vegetables, cereal and, of course, producing high quality dog and cat food. The old oven was replaced long ago with a high-performance bakery that produces over 35,000 tonnes of quality pet food per year.
Caring for the Countryside
Fold Hill Pet is a very different kind of pet food company. Why? Because the British countryside is at our heart. If you’ve ever visited the Lincolnshire Fens, you’ll know why. Huge skies. Open, green fields. Uncrowded, peaceful waterways.
The countryside is in our blood and we want to protect it the best way we know how – by investing in our local rural community. We could have moved our factory to an urban location, but we didn’t want to. Instead we recruit locally. We prefer to source locally wherever possible and all suppliers are approved by us. We are also committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Our solar power system saves over 400 tons of carbon per year.
Our passion for the countyside
and our love of pets is behind
everything we do.
Of course, the story doesn’t end there. We’re constantly working to improve our products, making sure that your dogs and cats are happy, healthy and full of life. We’re still very much a family-based business and proud to be based in rural Lincolnshire. We truly believe that Fold Hill Pet is a very different pet food manufacturer.
