Inflatable Fun Meets Compassionate Cause in Lincoln

Earier this month, the Fold Hill Foods team donned their running shoes for an event like no other — the Lincoln 5K Inflatable Challenge. With bouncy castles, wacky obstacles, and plenty of energy, it was a day bursting with fun and, more importantly, fundraising. Our goal? To support the incredible work of Pets As Therapy, a national charity that brings comfort and companionship to people across the UK through pet visits.

Stepping Up — and Over — for Animal-Assisted Therapy

The charity’s mission is to enhance the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in schools, hospitals, hospices, and care homes through animal companionship. As a team passionate about pets ourselves, we couldn’t pass up the chance to support their life-changing work. So, we took on the inflatable course in true Fold Hill spirit — with laughter, teamwork, and just a bit of friendly competition!

Behind the Bounces: Why It Matters

The 5K course wasn’t just a test of agility and co-ordination (though we certainly saw some creative interpretations of “graceful” along the way). It was also an opportunity to rally together for something bigger than ourselves.

Every donation raised helps Pets As Therapy recruit, assess, and support volunteers and their therapy animals. Whether it’s calming the nerves of a child learning to read or brightening the day of a patient in recovery, these visits create meaningful moments of connection.

Our Results — and What Comes Next

We’re proud to say that the Fold Hill Foods team has raised £1,150 so far, all thanks to the generosity of our friends, families, suppliers, business partnerships and more.

But this is just the beginning. We’ll continue to champion causes that put wellbeing — human and animal — at the forefront, and we’re already considering our next adventure in giving back.
